ABOUT

OUR STORY

We are a Southern barbecue kitchen serving Athens with time-honored recipes, warm hospitality, and food meant to bring people together. Saucehouse’s menu is built on a love for slow-cooked pork, tender chicken, smoked brisket, comforting sides, and the kind of bread pudding that keeps folks coming back.

What began in 2013 as a humble catering business in Athens, founded by a proud University of Georgia alumnus, grew into a local favorite known for sharing barbecue at gatherings of all kinds. After opening our Broad Street restaurant in 2015, Saucehouse continued to grow through the support of this community and a passion for serving good food with Southern heart.

Today, Saucehouse is focused exclusively on catering and to-go pickup, allowing us to bring that same experience to weddings, corporate events, family celebrations, and everyday get-togethers throughout Athens and beyond. As our motto says, we bring the ’que to you.

We are grateful to continue serving this town through its parties, milestones, and shared meals, and we hope Saucehouse remains a trusted gathering place at your table for years to come.
